Our Little Lions

Every puppy born at Imperial Shih Tzu Country begins their story right here in our nursery.

From their first days of life, our puppies are raised in our home surrounded by daily interaction, gentle socialization, and endless affection. We believe these early experiences help shape confident, loving companions who are ready to thrive with their future families.

We love sharing each puppy's journey—from tiny newborn milestones and first steps to playful personalities and growing confidence. Through photos, videos, and regular updates, families can follow along and watch our little lions grow.

When the time comes for a puppy to begin their next chapter, our focus is on making thoughtful placements that prioritize the well-being of both puppy and family.

At Imperial Shih Tzu Country, we're not simply raising puppies—we're nurturing companions who will be cherished for years to come.

Tiny Puppy Readiness

Imperial Shih Tzu Country specializes in very small Shih Tzu. Some of our puppies may weigh approximately 2 lbs. when they join their new families, and some may remain only 3½–5 lbs. as adults. Their tiny size can require additional supervision, care, and awareness, particularly during the transition into a new home.

Because of their delicate size, certain puppies may not be appropriate for homes with very young children. Each placement is considered individually with the safety of the puppy and family in mind.

5. Please acknowledge the following:

I understand that an exceptionally small puppy requires a greater level of supervision than an average-sized puppy. I am prepared to monitor my puppy's eating, drinking, stool, activity and overall behavior closely, particularly during the transition into my home. I understand that changes in appetite, energy, vomiting, diarrhea or other signs of illness in a very small puppy should be taken seriously and may require prompt veterinary attention.
